Doggie Day Hikes

During the summer months Paws and Relax Pet Services will be holding several Doggie Day Hikes.

The benefits of these to your Best Friend include:

- A complete change of scenery to the everyday walk

- Helps to reduce common behaviour issues caused by boredom

- Help to build confidence by socialisation

- Helps to burn off that built up energy

- Aids to a better sleep for all………including you!!

What is the Doggie Day Hike?

In short, it is 3-4 hours (*) of pure doggie based outdoor fun in the beautiful Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Dumfries & Galloway countryside or the Galloway forest.

The chance to explore rolling countryside, explore and play in the forest, play in streams around Loch Trool and for the more energetic doggie the chance to bound and play all the way up Tinto hill (711m) or The Merrick (875 m) and back down again. All the time socializing with other doggie friends.

*(travel time not inc)

**(The Merrick and Tinto Hill days will average 4-6 hours)

How does this all work?

We will come and collect the excited Doggie(s) from home in the morning (timings will be dependent on the type of day booked) and then drive to the selected location for that’s days hike and fun, ample water will be available throughout. Prior to returning home we will check the pack over and dry them off.

Later that night, your Doggie(s) will feel like they have had a mini break and will be sleepy and content after their exciting days hiking and playing.

Please Note: We ourselves and our own doggies have completed several Munros/Corbetts and we have the knowledge and equipment for these types of walks.

All doggies should be a minimum of 1 years of age. Prior to confirmation of booking and to ensure they are suitable for the selected day(s), we would carry out a free “Meet & Greet” where the doggies condition and fitness can be mutually discussed.
